The aCL-160DWH is an all-weather active speaker system based on Dante technology, addressable over the network and powered over the network. The aCL-160DWH speaker system is powered by a PoE+ network switch, meaning no external power supply is required. It can be used in applications where you need to transmit multiple audio channels over long distances and to different locations. Applications include schools, office buildings, fitness centers, shops, and restaurants.

Compared to analog transmission, digital transmission has several advantages. The cable quality should not be as high as for analog transmission, and even over long distances, the signal has a relatively low sensitivity to interference. Compared to other Ethernet transmission systems, such as CobraNet or EtherSound, Dante® can support gigabit applications with multiple channels, lower latency, and automatic configuration.
The ACL-160D is powered via PoE( Power over Ethernet), which means that power, audio, and control are transmitted to the speaker system via a CAT6 cable
