The aSCL-83W-D is an active speaker system based on Dante technology, addressable over the network and powered over the network. The speaker system is powered by a PoE+ network switch, which means that no external power supply is required. This Dante ® speaker system is particularly suitable for long-distance audio transmission with high sound quality requirements. It can be used in applications where you need to transmit multiple audio channels over long distances and to different areas or locations. Applications include schools, office buildings, fitness centers, shops, and restaurants.

Compared to analog transmission, digital transmission has several advantages. The cable quality should not be as high as for analog transmission, and even over long distances, the signal has a relatively low sensitivity to interference. Compared to other Ethernet transmission systems, such as CobraNet or EtherSound, Dante® can support gigabit applications with multiple channels, lower latency, and automatic configuration.
